Food Hoses all require a tube that will not contaminate the food product being conveyed. In the same way that rubbers and thermoplastics are formulated to handle different chemicals, gases or materials, they are also made to suit various foods. For example, oily products will require an oil-resistant tube compound, while other hoses may be formulated more for heat or abrasion resistance. As well as the specialty hoses listed here, Green Line offers a variety of unreinforced tubing styles that are made from food grade compounds. Included in these is clear vinyl tubing, which is widely used for the transfer of wine, beer, and other fluids.

G911 Vinylite

G911 Vinylite hose is a popular air hose, but it is also found in a large range of applications. The ability to see through the hose enables operators to see any flow problems or blockages as well as it is resistant to mild acid and alkali solutions. G911 is non-toxic and can be used for applications in marine drinking water pressure and drain lines.

Reinforcement: High tensile spiraled polyester yarn with two blue longitudinal tracers to identify the hose as food grade.
Cover: Smooth, clear with a blue tint, abrasion and weather resistant PVC, with the same ingredients as the tube compound.

G941PS POLY-SPRING

G941PS Poly-Spring uses a steel wire embedded in the hose wall to make a heavy-duty PVC suction and discharge hose suitable for a wide variety of food products. Poly-Spring will work in applications where soft-walled clear vinyl tubing and textile reinforced hoses do not provide the needed vacuum or kink resistance. Poly-Spring is used for milk, syrup, juices, wine, and food transfer applications. Its ability to withstand tight bends makes it useful for water lines in boats where space is tight.

Clear Food Transfer is used for milk, syrup, juices, wine, and food transfer applications.

G941 MILK FOOD TRANSFER

This food grade PVC suction and discharge hose was originally designed for milk transfer from dairy farm into tank trucks, where a lightweight, tight-coiling hose is required to fit the tanker hose storage cabinet. Today it is popular for a wide variety of fluid transfer applications where a food grade hose is required, but a heavy-duty hose like G941FT or G1041C is not required. Typically G941MILK is found in wineries and juice production facilities.

G941WT & G941WE PNEUMATIC TRANSFER

G941WT Pneumatic Transfer is designed for conveying powder, pellets or granular materials. The clear construction allows users to see any blockages and the food grade compound meets FDA, USDA, and 3-A Sanitary Standards so that this hose finds use in a variety of food handling applications. For example, in poultry processing, the 1” size is very popular because of its flexibility. G941WT is also very popular in injection molding plants for conveying plastic pellets. G941WE is very similar but incorporates a copper static wire for grounding where movement of particles may cause a static build-up. Other sizes, including some metric sizes used in plastic pellet transfer, are available on special order.

Vineyard Crushproof hose is designed for suction and discharge in applications where the hose is on the floor and might get run over. Where conventional wire reinforced hoses remain crushed, the polyethylene helix in G1040 springs back into shape. Vineyard hose has a light grey cover to resist marking, and a heat resistant tube to allow short period, open-end steam sterilization.

G1041C CORRUGATED FOOD TRANSFER

Corrugated Food Transfer is an all purpose suction and discharge hose for handling liquefied food products. It is manufactured with very oil resistant rubber compounds that can tolerate greasy foods and work areas. The hose also withstands high temperatures. Corrugated Food Transfer hose can handle alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, including milk and dairy products without imparting taste or odor. It is ideal for conveying hot jams, syrup, vegetable and animal oils. G1041C has a corrugated cover for extra flexibility and tight coiling.

G1074 BREWER’S HOSE

Brewer’s Hose has a butyl rubber tube and cover to withstand high alcohol content and fatty liquids. Butyl rubber also has better resistance than natural rubber to modern sterilization solutions containing mixtures of peroxyacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. The large wall thickness on Brewer’s Hose allows it to withstand light vacuum and resist kinking.

G741 RUBBER BULK MATERIAL

The extremely abrasion resistant gum rubber tube in G741 allows it to stand up to most non-oily bulk materials such as gravel, sand, and fertilizers. The tube is also certified to FDA food grade standards, making it suitable for grains, corn, sugar, and other foodstuffs. Where static build-up is a problem, the built in static wire dissipates static electricity when properly grounded to couplings.

G1041 can be sanitized with steam at a maximum of 130°C(266°F) for upto 30minutes, or for a few minutes at 50C with solutions of 2% nitic acid, 2% peracetic acid, 2% phosphoric acid, or 5% caustic soda. G1041 meet the stringent Europeon standards CE1935/04 and CE2023/06.
